Owl Bib
A lot of my friends and family have been having (or will soon have) babies lately, so baby crafts have been in high demand, as you can tell from many of my recent projects. I whipped up this owl bib today using my same owl pattern (you can find the downloadable pattern on this post). I just cut out the pieces and appliqued the front just like in my stuffed owl tutorial.
I did change it up a little. I added rows of eyelet lace instead of the feet before sewing on the wings and I only used the smaller eyeballs instead of doubling them up. Then instead of stuffing it, I put the back and front sides together (right sides out) and sewed bias tape around the perimeter leaving 14 inches excess for the ties at the ends.
I am crazy for owls right now, and this is just adorable. i must have one LOL

ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious! I am going to make one of these. I like the lace across the front - that was a smart idea. You could also perhaps make a pocket out of that piece with some fiddling... *2 thumbs up*
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! Now if only I could sew....lol
ReplyDeleteAny chance you'll be selling these on etsy?
Thank you so much for this great tutorial and pattern. I made a little bib today and it was lovely and easy... but oh so cute as well. I will definitely be making more of these as they make great gifts. Cheers
