I purchased this little spider kit on Etsy from the same seller I purchased my Christmas Joy from. In the photo of her spider, the front of the block is smooth. When I received mine the grain of the wood was on the front and the holes for the legs are already drilled in on the smooth sides. I was pretty bummed out. I wanted to do a polka dotted spider. I decided to cover her in purple glitter to try and mask it.
I'm happy with how she turned out. The eyelashes are two sets of fake
eyelashes I just purchased at the store. Each eye took a set. According
to Craft Wars, the
only way to get loose glitter to stay is to use Elmers glue. So that's
what I did and it worked wonders. I love me some Craft Wars.
