Crafty Love
Today I have a little something different to share with you. Today I'll be sharing some crafts made by women in my family. I use to sleepover at my Grandma's as a kid and paint little glass figurines, bake, or learn to crochet. I'd scrapbook with my mom or use puffy paint to make t-shirts and spend the afternoon looking through her button collection. I learned to love crafting from these women. I hope to pass that love onto my kids too.
Above is a vintage window my mother added vinyl to that welcomes you at the door. My doorstep told me it wants to bring it home to live at our house.
You see where my love for making all things stuffed comes from? My mom made them all. The Pooh Bear characters are made using a vintage McCall pattern. I tracked one down you can purchase here if you are quick. Old school Winnie is the way to go. The sweet little lamb is made using a pattern from Melly and Me. I heart him.
My sister Kira (who is also a contributor of the old blog) just made these super fun water bottles for her young women to take to girls camp. What lucky girls to have such a fun leader! She purchased the bottles on Amazon and added the vinyl.
Here is a peek at one of the many projects I'm working on. I'm starting early peeps. No waiting until the week before the holidays for me this year. So many projects...so little time. Tutorials in the works.
You obviously have some talented, crafty ladies in your family!
