Stuffed Elephant

I was holding out to post this until I finished some of my other elephant themed projects (I mentioned my current elephant fetish, no?) but it aint happenin' anytime soon. So here he is. I purchased the pattern off Etsy here. He was pretty simple to put together once I read all the directions. On my first attempt I cut his back in half where I was supposed to tape the pattern together. Poor thing. A trip to my favorite fabric store for another fat quarter fixed that issue and he turned out healthy and happy in the end. He took a trip in a care package to one of my sweet nephews and has a new home now. My nephew named the elephant Dumbo. Fabulous name picking buddy!

I love to make stuffed animals but hate stuffing them. Anyone else feel this way? Such a pain to get the stuffing in there just right...

  1. I've never made anything that required stuffing.. but I would imagine that an elephant is probably especially tricky!! But the result is MARVELOUS!!
