Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party
My little girl just turned five. We picked a Strawberry Shortcake themed party. I designed Custard shaped invitations (more photos on my card site here) for the big day. I made these strawberry shortcake cupcakes and chocolate cupcakes with this peanut butter frosting. I'd made those cupcakes before and found them to be too rich for our taste but the frosting rocks.
I snapped up the Washi taped cups idea from Pinterest. I then made the berry sweet strawberry banner. I love how it turned out.
We had all the different typed of fruits that coordinate with the Shortcake Gang (raspberry, blueberry, plum, etc...) and lemonade for Lemon. Then we had Chinese to go take home boxes. Didn't you know Strawberry's favorite food is Chinese? Errr, yeah. They were filled with bubbles, crayons, a fun dip, and Strawberry Shortcake lip gloss or nail polish. They also got a coloring book.
I had planned on making her dress but when I showed her this dress on etsy she had to have that very exact one. Lesson learned.
That's it. Happy birthday Miss Mallory!
