Father's Day Tie Wreath

I made this wreath two years ago. Last year I went to pull it out of the basement to hang on the door and it looked like this. Sad and floppy. So instead of fixing it I just put it back in the basement. Pretty pathetic. :) I wasn't going to let that happen again. I went and bought some heavy spray starch and added a few popsicle sticks for good measure.
I think it worked. The back of the wreath is a hot mess but the front looks hip. Now my door can be happy again.

To make it all your need is a bunch of ties (thanks Tommy!), a glue gun, a wreath form, and obviously some spray starch. Cut the ties down to size and glue the back of the tie around the wreath.

My SIL pinned a link on Pinterest today of a similar wreath that used a larger wreath form, designer skinny ties, and less of the tie showing. Super cute too. You can check that out here. You can find me on Pinterest here too! I do love to pin. :) It's addictive...

  1. I think this is fabulous!!! Very smart, love the tie theme around father's day in spite of the fact my hubby doesn't own one. {I'll have to hit the thrift store for my wreath!} I found you on Pinterest and followed your pins! Jules from bles-id
