I adore the tie onesies but had never made one. I was going to draw up my own pattern but decided to google it first and a bazillion freebies came up. I picked out my favorite one (this one here, complete with full on tutorial) and whipped up one or two...or five. Whatever.
I also found this cute freebie butterfly pattern. To add a face or no?

LOVE this! I have 2 or 3 or TEN onesies to make for everyone I know having babies!! I've been putting off the boy onesies because I couldn't think of a design that really floated my boat! Never thought of a TIE! BRILLIANT!
ReplyDeleteTFS! (found you on tip junkie!!)
I love those onesies...definitely want to make a few for the little man. So here's my question: I've tried using the sewing machine to applique things on onesies and it's so hard because the onesie hardly even fits around the arm of the machine! What was your secret?
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa!
ReplyDeleteI was just telling my sister-in-law that onesies are tricky. :) The larger sizes are easier. I just go slow yanking the back of the onesie out of the way as I go. You can use the no sew adhesive as well. Wish I had a great explanation for an easier way but I don't. Sorry. :) Good luck!
I loveeeee those tie onsies. :) So cute for little boys.

Those onesies are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI think some googly eyes on the butterfly would be fun! But it's cute without too. Love you!
