Master Closet Clean Up on the Cheap

Not the before and after you were expecting, is it? Our house is eight years old now and has decided to graciously start giving us other projects to do. The kind that don't make for exciting before and after photos. So my income/play money is tied up right now taking care of home repair projects which means a lot of my want-to-do projects are on hold. Such is life. So I'm working on other things right now that cost little to no money. De-junking and organizing my house is a big one.

This is our master closet. It's big but stills seems to end up looking like this. I think it would stay cleaner but there are so many shoes in the way you can't reach up to the top shelf. We hide our ugly veneer dresser we got for dirt cheap in there as well. A new dresser is one of the things that even made it on to my husband's want list for the future. It's too small to fit our pants which is not awesome.

Since a new dresser isn't in the budget for right now I did what I could to make the closet work until then. I purchased a couple of wooden shoe wracks for about 30$ and took a load to D.I. Twa-la! I know, not all that exciting but since I'm excited to finally have walking room it's a winner in my book.

I do have my daughters free desk and a mini bathroom makeover in the works as well as another cute but simple Easter decor project. Until next time...

  3. Target. :) They were a fill in for another item that was on sell and out of stock to so they were less then I expected. Bonus!
