My New Year's Resolution is simple- try something new every week. A new recipe, a new exercise, go to a new place, try out a new technique, whatever. Last week I tried out three new things (at least it was last week when I started this post. I full post on the pumpkins coming soon!)
First a few amigos and I tried out a new pattern and made adorable pumpkins. Yes, we are a little behind decor wise but totally set for next year. We aren't finished yet but here is a sneak peek.
Second my husband and I got a lot of new cooking gadgets and cook books for Christmas. On New Year's Eve he tried out a new Thai recipe that called for Cod. I don't eat seafood. I go to Red Lobster for the biscuits. I was pleasantly surprised that my gag reflexes weren't triggered by the fish. It was actually pretty tasty especially with sticky rice.
Next I tried out a new recipe of my own. Chicken Parmesan. Nothing too crazy but a new recipe that we enjoy is always welcomed into the mix. I tired out a few other new recipes that we won't be revisiting as well. Not bad but not for us.
So you' ll have to excuse me if I post about the new things I try out but I have a list a mile long and a fire beneath my feet. I'd like to know how to do everything. I'm a little like Mallory in that way I guess. So why not give everything a try within reason? And why not share my attempts with the people I love most.
