DIY Canvas Art

I had some decorated shelves hung in our downstairs bathroom, but when workers installed our french doors in the kitchen, it all fell off the wall and broke. So sad. So I needed to come up with a cheap Plan B. It ended up being free.

I used the above Eeyore canvas that used to hang in my daughter's room when she was young. She loved the "My Friends Tigger and Pooh" cartoon. I had fabrics from the same line of my living room curtains on hand too.

I painted the canvas (3 coats to cover). Ironed squares of fabric onto stabilizer and then cut them out using an OLFA fabric circle cutter. I then modge-podged the circles onto the canvas.

Issue: the modge podge in one area (the blue circle) didn't dry so pretty. How does one fix this?? Anybody? I tried washing it with a damp cloth but that didn't work. Other than that it's fun and free so we give it two thumbs up.
