Baby Gift Set

One of my dear friends had a baby girl a couple weeks ago. I finished most of her baby gift minus a car seat cover. I decided the fabric I got was a bit on the busy side. I think too much some times.

This was my first time using minky in a large quantity. That stuff is frustrating! I finally ended up tacking the minky to my carpet and then pinning the fabrics together. I cut out letters with the Cricut and appliqued those on and then hand stitched around each letter. Time consuming but it's all in the detail. At least that is what I kept saying to myself while the hours ticked by.

  8. She'll love it! She's one lucky friend and I'm sure she'll be glad you didn't give up. The best things are often those that need those extra details and patience. I'm sure she'll appreciate the love and time that went into it. It's really sweet.
