The first photo is taken standing from our front door, second is the wall across from the fire place, and the third from sitting on the couch looking down at our dinning and kitchen areas. It's kind of a odd layout since two of the walls available to me are taken up by a fireplace and windows.
So here is what I know I want-
I'd also like a rug. I've looked around, pinned a bunch, and these are my favorites thus far.
I've pinned a bunch more here too. Help! Which rug? Which Rug!? Isn't there a HGTV show or a talented decorating blogger that wants to figure this all out for me? Total amateur here that's just guessing on what's going to work and look good together. I'm a bit freaked about spending hundreds on a rug and not loving how it works with the room.
We're talking about switching out the loveseat for two tufted chairs and a fun coffee table as well. Lighting? Both lights really can go and I won't shed any tears. Wall decor? Any suggestions are welcomed and accepted here. I'm not to proud to beg. :)
I love the floor, it is gorgeous! The first rug is my favourite, will go well with your new floor, and kinda matches your wall behind the TV. You've gone for a great colour pallet, the room will look great once finished.
ReplyDeleteYou've got so much going on texture-wise that I'd do the 3rd rug. I love the others, but with the fabrics, the wall behind the tv and the textures in the floor and on the future mantel/surround, I'd stick with something a little more calm. Kind of to give you a ground to build on. I say paint the back of the nook area a bold color (maybe the green from the fabrics) to help pull it into the room and leave as is. For wall decor, seriously talk to Corinne. She's got some great things on her walls and even more ideas in her head. If you're not opposed to changing out the fan, you should look for one that might have a chandelier type thingey with it. It would draw the eye up and add some definite character. I have so many more ideas. We seriously need to get together.
