Basket Full of Love

Changed my watermark font. Hope it didn't throw you.

It's almost Valentine's and I needed something to hang on my front door. I guess it's a want...but anyway, I don't have a lot of time on my hands right now or money so I came up with this. The basket was free at a yard sale that was about to end. The red  raffia shredded stuff (that's the technical term) in the bottom I bought for a quarter at the Craft Outlet that no longer exists. RIP my favorite little money sucking shop of goodness. And the hearts are from the dollar store. It took just about 4 bags (7 to 9 hearts per bag). Then I used a triangle punch (and my kid's man power) and some scraps of pattern paper to sew together a little banner. Walla! I put it together in 20 minutes and my door is festive once again.

I was hoping to make one of these felt heart garlands to put on the aqua chair but my felt has gone MIA. It was a good thought. I have those a lot that never come to fruition. Am I the only one that has a million plans and am capable of only doing one percent in the time allotted?

Doggy applique pattern coming up soon!
