I'm not the best at sewing but I sure am trying to learn. This weekend I whipped up a couple of dresses for my four year old and my sister Kira's four year old.
You might recall the stars and stripes from the
pillow covers I made a few weeks ago.
I used
this tutorial here. I switched it up a bit by adding thick grosgrain ribbon straps, making it longer, and attaching the hem like I did for
this skirt. The best part was watching the girls prance around in their matchy dresses together. :)
I also made these
Key Lime Swirl Cheesecake bars that turned out pretty scrumptious. If you make them take note that the recipe on the main blog page is missing a few ingredients (sour cream and vanilla) but if you click on the printer friendly version it lists them. Thank goodness I had them on hand.
