Caddy Talk

I've been a little caddy obsessed ever since my Copic marker organizer has grown too small for my collection. They are now overflowing and hard to find. Makes card making not so relaxing. A caddy I can tote around with me seems like the best solution.

I was excited when I found this caddy at a yard sale a couple weekends ago though it won't do for my lacking marker storage needs. It looked like a Junior High student made it in shop class and didn't get the best grade ever (the bar. handle? handle bar? whatever, it's crooked) but for 1$ I was giddy to take 'er home with me.

After a few coats of paint (it's actually a light aqua color that refused to photograph) and then dry brushed in a slightly darker color here it is.

I bought the star from D.I. for 50 cents. It was my first time ever using modge podge. Where have I been? I few roses from my back yard and I have some cute very cheap decor.

I was really lusting after this caddy.

But with only 8 jars and 12 markers fitting in each jar it just wasn't big enough. Plus I felt guilty leaving those gorgeous lids off the jars. :) I did my best to think of another use for it but with my other smaller paper crafting needs (we'll call them "needs") already organized I came up short. Still hurts my heart to see that it was recently sold.

I'm thinking this caddy with 15 jar fill-able spaces will work and it's stylish as can be. Anyone else having caddy obsessions?
