Five Strand Necklace Knock Off

I adore this necklace. I'd go as far as to say it's on my dream necklace list...I'f I had a dream list. I found it here on etsy. Fifty five smackers with seven bucks shipping. That equals way out of my price range. I kept thinking about it's beauty and when we went shopping on my anniversary I bought a little blue and cream striped dress and a turquoise top that I of course pictured in my mind adorned with this beauty. I almost caved...

But instead I set off to make my own.
What do you think? Pretty close, right? Kind of?
To make this beauty I used five strands of 16 inch red mountain jade beads.
2 at 12mm, 1 at 8mm, and 2 at 6mm. The bead cones are from Hobby Lobby and the fastener thingy (those are the technical terms) my SIL hooked me up with. (Hooked, get it. teeheehee)
All in all it cost me around 25$ to make.
Here I am taking all these photos for you in my kids bathroom. Please excuse the double jointed pinky finger. He doesn't know any better.
Here are the shoes I'm wearing to complete today's ensemble. These 80$ shoes. I bought them last weekend at D.I. for 8$. Never dis on the power of the thrift shop. :) I know I don't.

  10. Dare I say I might like yours better than the original? Yours seems to have a little bit of variety in the color of the different strands, which I really really like. Good work!
