Jingle Bell YoYos
My daughter Mallory does not like having her hair done. For the longest time she wouldn't let me do anything other than brush it without throwing a fit and ripping her stylish do out. Recently she's been showing a slight interest. I decided to make her some new hair clips to see if it would help the process along. I made these for her first day of school. She decided to go with "plain regular ponies" instead. I was just happy I could see her face.
While up late last night (that's when all my ideas seem to come) I had the idea of using jingle bells to Christmas up my yo-yos. If you're not sure how to make a yo-yo you can see a how to tutorial here.
The little ones don't jingle. My husband was afraid our very energized little four year old would be dancing around with a jingling head all season long. Silly daddy. The all measure an inch and a half or two. I like the smaller clippies.
I've got a couple months to get Mallory more on board with the whole hairdo thing before Christmas time. If not she'll flaunt the disheveled bedhead look and some other little girl will get to sport the jingle bells.
Aw! They are stinking cute!! I love them!! :)
